Turning 17

Yesterday (the 12th) was once again the time of the year when I celebrated my birthday (for the 17th) friggin time. I didn’t tell anyone of my classmates yesterday since I prefer a more quiet celebration (artista?!?) but somebody I guess spilled it out so I got flooded of text messages today. I can’t actually believe it, I feel younger than my age (haha) but there are also times when I feel like I’m ready for other more mature things (no I don’t want to leave my family yet) like making myself independent (financially).

That is actually my goal now. I think some of the kids my age or older want to have their own wheels to drive and the likes, but for me, I feel like wanting to earn myself as early as now (sorry I don’t accept dirty jobs lol). That is the sense of independence I’m eyeing for right now. Could you even believe that I’m speculating on what property is getting hot in a couple of years (I’m not telling though, haha) Makati is already overrated. Well, atleast I know I’m not a dumb citizen.

I just realized that I haven’t posted for so long since the year 2007 entered. I guess maybe waiting for the visitors to come and the words “W i d e s c r e e n”, “COMPAQ”, “Presario V3000″ incites someone to write a new entry. Hahahahaha

Happy New Year 2007

Goodbye 2006! Thank you for all the time, good times, bad times, in between times that happened during the year. Those would all be treasured in my memory.

Welcome 2007! May this year be a pleasant, prosperous and of course happy one for every one of us around the world. Happy new year!

Lost Boy with New Haircut for New Year

Let me start off by saying that one of the rituals undergone every time the new year comes is to have a hair cut. So that is just what I did a while ago, took a visit at newsbarbers to have my hair did and mind you it was nice (according to my no. 1 fan which is my mom and everyone else of course who saw it) but lets get back to the story…

While I was having my turn to be cut, I just realized that I left my phone inside my mom’s bag and so there was I wondering how on earth am I going to find her in such a big place like SM Fairview. I went to the appliance center to check if she was there (because she said a while ago that she would be there) but to no luck, she’s not there.

This is where the shameful part begins. I went back to the barbershop and stayed there for almost an hour like a lost 7 year old child. I for myself don’t know what to do, whether to stay there and wait for my mom to (hopefully) arrive or to start the mall-wide hunting as soon as possible.

Thankfully though, I made the right decision of staying there since my mom actually arrived there (at least) realizing too that I left my phone inside her bag. I just could not imagine the horror of being sent to the customer service for being lost (paging the parents of a lost newly-haircut boy, wearing blue shirt and white pants. Please report to the customer service immediately) just like what happened to me waaaay back when. Its just shameful now that I am already 16, but if that really happened to me, I guess I would just pretend as a 10 yr old innocent kid who doesn’t know where to go next. Oh my.

PS: I’d be leaving for new year (pray for me that I wont get lost, or at least my phone while away) see you in 2007!!! Good luck and may you all have a prosperous new year and all-year round! Also don’t forget, to “ituloy angsulong”!!!
