Bar Scene

Let me tell you now what happened to me and my cuz last weekend, such things turn up rarely (only once in a purple moon) and I hope that that would be the last time. Now, I guess there would be no more going out for a while. I won’t be MIA anymore soon, this one is kind of traumatic, it would take time to forget.

It was actually time for us to go home from a bar somewhere in the plains north of Manila but before I step foot into the van, we noticed two of our cousins left at the gate. I thought that it was just nothing but when we got closer, we realized that they’re into a discussion with somebody else.

Then I found out that the conflict started with a question of “kilala mo ba ‘to?” or do you know who this is? While pointing to the one beside him. I hope I was the one told that so that I could just laugh it off thinking that it’s in a second-class city from a province somewhere up there. You really won’t suspect anyone to be even as rich as George Lindemann

But then again, it was told to one of my cousin that didn’t just let it pass. The discussion happened so fast and the next thing I noticed is that we were all busy sedating both sides of negative forces. The guard tried his best to stop them but he was alone, he held his gun up and pointing to the sky he pulled the trigger… then we heard nothing, he seem to have forgotten to load it (if he has any).

When we successfully pushed our buddies inside the van we immediately went inside too but the group outside is still hostile, now they’re taking their battle to the next level… they attacked the van. Kicked it from side to side and then we heard something, the glass on the side was cracked… and then we heard another smash, the glass on the side was non-existent.

Some of our female cousins and friends were the one most affected, to mention that they have no participation to the fight other than to calm everybody. One got hit with a lot of broken glass, another got hit on the lips plus a small rock in the forehead and only one got wounded by the broken glass. Thank God it finally lost it’s momentum when the pieces of glass hit me. I’m lucky to go home clean.

We went straight ahead to our home problematic on what are we going to say to our parents. Most especially to the parents of my cousin who owns the van. Fast-forward after sunrise, I can already hear someone looking for the ones involved in the fight. Thank God nobody called me, it only proves that I still have the innocent image and I like it. Hehe.

They already went to the police to tell what happened then to the hospital for the necessary treatment of those who got injured. Me and another cousin who was not called to wake (another innocent-looking one) followed because she also got a small wound in the lips and a bump on the forehead.

One of my cuz even managed to joke that they got insecure with our dance because we did it pretty good. Another one when we were told not to drive late at night anymore and she said to just make our way through walking (good luck) until we arrive.

What an experience, I think it would take a long time before we could go out again or at least before the event fades away from their memory. I’m sure they would be telling everyone to not permit us go out anymore when the evening strikes.

Oh my God! I never knew it has already gone this violent out there. I seldom go out na kasi so I have no idea that people these days can be so nasty. You’re right, stay at home na lang muna. Or be more cautious next time. Take care!

That was scary. Good thing you guys suffered minor injuries. And hope your female cousins weren’t that traumatized.

Weeh, that’s so barbaric of the offending party. Grrr. I hate it when that happens. So yes, I’ve been in similar situationS before which involved my best bud and/or mga kasama. And a bunch of loaded guns.

The same thing almost happened to us when we were off to a friend’s house for a YFC overnight. Instead of coming from a bar, we were from my friend’s condo. Anyway, us girls rode the van and then when the guys were about to climb in, the some guys approached them and asked them something. Nothing really happened, but those guys gave off a bad vibe as if they were looking for a fight. :-s Good thing nothing happened, we only have five guys then, I think.

    Ingat :)

Katakot naman yun. Buti nalang hindi grabe yung nangyari.
